We offer a annual getaway JUST for our members! This event is all about team building, bonding and relaxation to encourage and motivate members to bring their ideas and personalities to the conversation table. We have had over 100 members attend in 2020 and 2021. We look forward to planning 2022 and bring even more members out to experience the comradery this event brings!!
Our biggest fundraising event of the year! Beginning in 2020, the MO Canna Fam Fest was designed to bring patients and businesses together in an atmosphere free of suits and ties. This 4 day event features camping, floating, fishing, festival & music all surround around vendors from all over the state! We raise money for 10 MO non-profits and all businesses, performers and vendors are from the state of MO. This event is a true celebration of Missouri and the Cannabis Community.
Extending the olive branch to other organizations through donation drives is one of the main priorities for Canna Matriarchs! Developing relationships and bonds with organizations who do not specialize in cannabis specific markets is one of the most successful ways of educating the public and breaking down the stigmas against canna moms. We have donated to and worked with homeless shelters, mothers organizations, schools, veterans organizations and assisted with and attended many patient certification events. We also run several annual food, toy and clothing drives for our own members in need.
Advocacy is one of the pillars of our organization. We advocate for patients, responsible implementation of the medical cannabis market and education for all. We have been very fortunate to be involved in some paramount advocacy missions since our inception, including advocating for proper zoning laws in the city of Independence, the Jamie Wilson Case in Grundy County, and the Brand Ortega Case against Raymore Middle School. We have assisted several members in obtaining legal representation for personal cases and we have been very blessed to be interviewed by multiple media outlets to spread the word about our organization, speak about women in the industry and discuss our advocacy missions and goals.
